Sri Venkateshwara Sanctuary is the wildlife zone covered by highly aromatic plants and rare endangered species within a distance of 15km from Kadapa and 10km from Tirupati. This 506 sq. km area is the place for dry deciduous forest with some small patches of moist deciduous forest. The entrance of the place is decorated by the Gods who represent several form of the animals in Hindu mythology. It has the famous quote “I am the eternal seed of living beings” from Bhagwat Gita written all over it. This eco-tourism spot of Indian state Andhra Pradesh is the living zone of 349 species of birds, 168 species of mammals and 138 species of reptiles. Some of the rich plant types found here are like Sandalwood, Redsanders, Shorea, Thumbergiana, Shoreatalura, Terminaliapallida, Cycasbebbomei, Syzygiumalterifolium etc. Rare types of like Giant squirrel, Gecko, flying lizard are found here too. Other animals found are panther, sloth bear, sambar, cheetal, mouse deer, barking deer, Indian fox, chinkara, wolf, baboon, blackbuck, nilgai, elephant, porcupine and etc.
