The Nizam Museum

Most of the tourists visiting Hyderabad does not know about the museum of Nizam located in Purani Haveli. This palace was the residential adobe of the world-renowned Nizams once upon a time. The museum is ornate by the gifts of the last Nizam of Hyderabad, Osman Ali Khan, AsafJah VII during their silver jubilee period. The collection includes silver letter box collection, jewellery boxes, perfume boxes, cups with pearls, cutlery sets, studded daggers, and etc. There is a personal wardrobe collection of sixth Nizam is present in the palace museum. Vintage cars like Jaguar Mark V., Rolls Royce and Packard are present on display.

Travel Tips

Hyderabad is a conservative city. So one must avoid wearing skimpy clothes while visiting the religious places. It is mandatory to remove shoes at the places where you are required to. Do not carry loads of money within you during the city tour. Instead have some small notes for usage. For travelling one can find meter AC taxis and autos around all the area. Rickshaws are available at few places only.

The atmosphere of Hyderabad is dry and sunny. So one must carry sunglasses and sunscreens during their day outings. Taking a bottle of water is important because there are places where you cannot find a drop of water. This land locked metro city of India is in short of water supply.   • There are three major railway stations Secunderabad railway station, Kachiguda railway station and Hyderabad railway station connecting the city with other parts of India. Multiple trains are coming on a daily basis at these rail stations.
