As this is a jungle safari hence use of scents are strongly rejected. If there are children in the party it must be made sure that they do not make noise. No food should be offered to the animals. Brightly coloured Dresses must be avoided. All the above mentioned things are disturbing to the animals. If any animals are found then they must not be teased. Going near animas may prove dangerous. You must abide by the rules and words of the Guard who are along with you. There are various rates therefore the Indians must carry INR 325 and the foreigners must have INR 1025 with them. There are extra rates for the camera. The rates vary on cases of professional and non-professional photography. 50% rebate is allowed for children below 12 years of age and excursion students. The rates may change at occasions without prior notice. Elephant safari must be booked from the range office one day of the ride. The bookings are done at respective range offices. Only for Kaziranga Range, Kohora is made at the Centenary Convention Centre, Kohora. The bookings are done at 19:00 and 20:00 hours of the day.

Route/ Place

This Park is located in the Golaghat and Nagaon district of Assam. Kaziranga is believed to be the successful program of saving the one-Horned Rhinoceros. This is declared as the world heritage site by UNESCO and is a successful programme too. Visitors from worldwide comes here to visit the beautiful landscape.This is located in North East India, Assam. The entire park area is formed by the Brahmaputra River and its smaller tributaries. There are various sized ‘Beels’ or water bodies all around the area. A large amount of riverine silt is deposited on the alluvial banks by the river. There are several ranges which forms the base of the elephant safari. The following routes are settled according to the range. The first is the Burapahar Range, Ghorakati. This has its starting point in near Rhinoland Park. This route go via Ghorakati near Rhinoland Park via 1staddition to KNP Biorghup and continues back to the starting point along Central Path. The nest is the Eastern Range Agartoli. The starting point lies near the Range Head Quarters in Agartoli. Starting from Agartoli this route goes via Dhuba Road followed by the Shola Water body and then comes back to Agartoli which is at the Southern Periphery of the Park. The nest comes the Kaziranga Range, Kohora. This safari has its starting point in the Mihimukh Riding Tower. This goes from Minimukh Riding Tower via 2nd addition to KNP up toriding point 2 at Kathpora and next to southern Periphery. Western Range Bagori is the other safari point starting from near the Head Quarters of Bagori. This carries you towards Donga along the Central path via the right bank of the Mori Diffalu River and then back to Bagori. All this is a 1 hour safari. Vehicle Safaris are also available. This forest house many elephants along with other animals. Ecologically this is important and also is a picturesque place for enjoying a vacation with family and friends. For Indian adults the safari rate is INR 280 whereas for foreigners it is 750. Park entry fee for Indians are INR 20 for foreigners it is 250. There is an amount to be paid to the guards. The amount is INR 25 for both foreigners and Indians. The morning Session of all the safaris starts and end at 5:30 and 7:30 respectively. And the afternoon session last from 15:00 to 16:00.

 
Equipments

A camera can be carried by paying for it on the other hand an umbrella to protect oneself from the burning rays of the sun. No other requirements are there. In case of a camp planning food and water must be kept. A Guard must be booked and enough equipment for camping must be kept along. There are various don’ts like the following. How to Reach

  • It is quite easy to reach Kaziranga. There are several airports nearby like the Rowroya Airport, Jorhat and Gopinath Bordoloi Airport, Borjhar, Guwahati. The distances are 90 km and 250 km respectively. It takes 2 to 3 hours to reach Kaziranga from the former. Private cars, taxis and buses can be availed. While it takes 5 to 6 hours from Guwahati. Buses and taxis are available to take you to Kaziranga.
  • The nearest Railway Station is Jakhalabanda. It is at a distance of 40 km from the destination. Private Buses and taxis can also be hired to reach the destination. Silaghat-Senchowa Broad-guage Passenger Train services between Guwahati and Silaghat via Jakhalabanda will take you there. From the station here you have to take private car, taxi or public bus service to reach Bagori or Kohora from where you can avail places to stay and also reach the destination.
  • there are several bus services. The best is to avail the bus service of Guwahati-Paltan Bazar or Inter-state Bus terminus which takes you to following location at a 5 to 6 hours� Drive: Bura Pahar, Bagori, Kohora and Agartoli. You have to request the bus driver to stop at any of your desired location or the location that is in the vicinity to your place of staying.

  • One horned Rhinoceros- This is the rarest of all animal that is found in the forest. This is a special kind of animal.
  • Coffee and Rubber Plantation is nearby Karbi. This village is important for the vast amount of agriculture. Visiting the place is pleasure for the eyes.
