The magnificent presence of the old historical palace in the Jamnagar is raising the value of the place in the heart of the tourists. The architecture of DarbarGadh Palace is the perfect blend of Rajput and European styles. The royal Jam Saheb lived at this palace during his regime. The palace was built in the year 1540. There is a semi-circular open place outside the palace where the royals addressed the public once upon a time. The palace has stone carvings, ornamental mirrors, sculptures, wall painting, carved pillars in its interior. The earthquake of 2001 has damaged a part of the palace.

Travel Tips

The summers are too hot. So avoid travelling during the month of March to June. The forests are closed during the monsoon season. So it is best if one chooses to go during the November to February.
